Privacy requests

To ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted, email us with the subject "Privacy request". See the privacy policy.

Copyright and takedown notices

Send a notice by email (subject "Copyright notice") or post to the address above. What to include: Terms, section 7.

Site owners

To keep our crawler out of a site or slow it down, use robots.txt: how AskRobotsBot works. To have pages removed from the index faster, or to report a crawling problem, email us with your domain (for crawling problems, a few log lines with times help). To get a new page found, add it.

Personal information about you in a result

Ask the site that published it to take it down, and report the result (reason "Personal information") so we can remove it from our index sooner.

Security problems

Email us with the subject "Security" and the details. Please give us a reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone else; we won't take action against good-faith research that respects our terms and people's data.

API and heavier use

See the API page, and email us if you need more than its limits.
